• How much does it cost

We have different fee arrangements depending on the type of case you have

    Family Law Matters

    How we get paid

We bill most family law clients on an hourly basis. We always ask for you to pay initial retainer so that we can commence work. The amount of the retainer will depend on the complexity of your matter and what you would like us to do for you.

If you are looking for an independent legal advice (ILA) on a family law agreement, we will offer this service on a fixed price per consultation.

Cost of drafting family law agreements will be estimated when you retain us, and we will do our best to provide you with the most accurate quote. However, the final cost may exceed the original estimate if the negotiations take longer than anticipated or if there are many more drafts exchanged with the other side before the agreement is signed.

At all times, we will keep clear communication with you about costs, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that you are not blindsided in the end.

    Employment Matters

    How we get paid

Our payment will depend on the type of case you have. Some cases we would be able to take on contingency (we get paid when you get paid) and others would be charged on an hourly basis.

We will be able to tell you how your fee will be structured after your initial contact with us.

    Insurance Matters

    How we get paid

Our payment will depend on the type of case you have.

For example, if you are being sued for damages arising from a motor vehicle accident, and ICBC has found you in breach of your insurance policy and denied a defence, our legal fees will be hourly.

On another hand, if you are suing your insurance company because they denied payment of disability benefits, we will offer a contingency fee arrangement to conduct your case.

    Personal Injury Matters

    How we get paid

If you have been injured, we will accept your case on contingency fee basis. This means, you will pay us a percentage of what you receive in settlement or judgement at the conclusion of the case. We will not ask you for any pre-payment of legal fees and we will only get paid when you get paid.
