Fresha is an articling student at Icon Law Group, bringing a wealth of international legal experience in personal injury, insurance litigation, civil disputes and human rights-based policy work. Fresha supports the firm’s advocacy on behalf of individuals facing life-altering injuries and legal challenges.
She completed her National Committee on Accreditation exams in June 2025 and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Law in Kenya and was called to the Bar in Kenya on July 3rd, 2020. Her academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to personal injury, family law, insurance and human rights-based advocacy.
She worked in personal injury and insurance law, managing motor vehicle accident claims, disability benefits and civil litigation files. She has also led legislative drafting and policy reform projects with a strong human rights perspective, contributing to national, regional and international policy frameworks on pretrial detention, access to justice and protection of marginalized populations.
Her legal practice is rooted in empathy, cultural fluency and precision. Fluent in English, Kiswahili she brings valuable cultural fluency to her work. She is deeply committed to serving Vancouver’s diverse communities with clarity, compassion and accessible legal solutions.
Apart from work, Fresha enjoys working out at the gym and participating in track events. She is part of the Steady Hikers athletes’ community in British Columbia.
