Mariyah earned a dual law degree enabling her to practice both in Canada and the United States.
Mariyah is a member of Icon Law’s privacy law practice, advising organizations on compliance issues, and managing privacy risks. Her longstanding interest in privacy law stems in part from her family’s business in cybersecurity, specifically end-point management and anti-executable software. Mariyah’s work is informed by her practical litigation experience and a developing nuanced understanding of privacy regulations and governance in handling personal information.
Mariyah started her legal career in litigation assisting clients with high conflict and other complex family law disputes. Alongside her privacy law practice, Mariyah continues to assist family law clients with a collaborative approach.
