Lina is a seasoned privacy professional with extensive international legal background. She holds a J.D. (2013), a Diploma in Consumer Law (2016), and a Master’s degree in
Information Law & New Technologies (2023) from Columbia. She was admitted to practice as a lawyer in Colombia on April 1st, 2013.
Lina advises public and private sector organizations on privacy compliance, supporting the development and implementation of privacy management programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
Prior to joining Icon Law Group, Lina worked in Columbia as a Head Counsel and DPO - Data Privacy Officer with large companies across various industries, including food and restaurant franchises, entertainment, automotive dealerships and FMCG companies. After that she moved to legal services at Dentons Colombia in the Privacy Law, Technology, Intellectual Property, and Consumer Protection practice, advising global companies with operations in Latin America on compliance with local data protection regulations across Latin America, especially Chile and Ecuador, as well as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Outsideof work, Lina enjoys cooking, cycling, and reading—particularly about political science and technology.
